Welcome to Lucas Oil!

We are so very excited about Colts season starting because we have our very own seats in the new stadium! Lucas Oil had an open house on Sunday for season ticket holders, and we got to sit in our seats where we'll be cheering on Peyton and his crew for the next six months. It is incredible! If you get the chance, you must go to L.O.S.!

Mike and Biz Mack - Colts Press Conference!

Some pretty cool photos of the stadium, our seats and the roof opening.
Mike Mack catching a touchdown pass!Colts 50 yard line--- we were ON the field!

Some awesome shots of us in the end zone, us in the tunnel, Mike under the enormous open window, 50 yard line, and our feet in the end zone.
The stadium roof opening in progress, and other fun shots!

Just hangin out in the end zone. What a fantastic opportunity! We had so much fun adding this to our storybook of life.

Mike Mack vs. Bob Evans

If you've ever spent the night at the Mack B&B, you know how fantastic breakfasts made by Mike are. He has managed to master french toast as well as berry pancakes (or any other pancake for that matter). Add some turkey bacon and a cup of coffee or chai, and you are set. He cannot be beat....

Well, folks, Mike stepped it up this past weekend. He made BISCUITS and GRAVY! It is by far his favorite breakfast; the one his grandma makes every single time we visit. The sausage has to be seasoned perfectly and the gravy a specific thickness, but it comes in at a close second as the love of his life.

Don't tell Grandma, but we won't have to travel 200 miles to get that breakfast any more. Just stop by the Mack B&B some weekend for Saturday morning breakfast, and you'll discover his amazing new breakfast feat!!

My trip to Maumee

This past week I made the arduous 3.5 hour drive from Indy to Maumee, OH. What on earth is in Maumee, you ask? My advertising agency I work with!

Hart Assoc. invited me to join them for a Toledo Mudhens game sometime this summer, and last week was it. I spent the day in meetings preparing for our 2009 plan and getting some face time with the team. It wasn't much to write home about (or you about), but I have this fun picture. These are guys from my company that live near Toledo who met me there, plus my account exec at Hart, and the Mudhen dude.

Girls Night Out

Lindsay was home again for the last few weeks, so we had another girls' night out! I ended up having the afternoon off, so we got to make our way through the cute little shops in Broadripple. Then we stopped for chips and salsa and margaritas before heading home to change.

We ended our evening with the classic Biz/Linds dinner at an outdoor table at Palomino. What a GREAT night! We always order delicious martinis, split an appetizer and share an entree. We even splurged on dessert. I love getting to spend time with Lindsay, plus getting to have such fun girly nights make her visits even better!

Working Girl

I spend 9 hours a day at work, and almost 2 hours a day driving to/from there. So, it seems necessary to share with you what I've been doing at this day-consuming place!

In addition to publishing the company's first advertisements an beginning a marketing campaign, as well as 1,000 other promotional efforts, I've been responsible for recreating our website!! Industrial Roofing... not very glamorous. But a website for an industrial roofing manufacturer? You tell me! www.GenFlex.com

I'm pretty proud of it.

Dominican Republic

Rather than creating 75.23 posts about our vacation, I decided to create a video instead. It doesn't have our water camera pictures on it, which will be some of my favorites. (Photos on CD coming soon!!) But our pictures tell a great story about the trip.

Here's the short version:

Beautiful Location. Sun. All Inclusive Resort. Food. Drinks. Amazing people. Romance. Memories. Pool. Segways on the beach. Sunblock. Sand. Cigar factory tour. Sunrise. Swim-up Bar. More Drinks. Hobie Cats. Sunsets. WONDERFULNESS WITH MY HUBBY!!!!

And here are the visuals:

P.S.A.

This is my Public Service Announcement about return policies. Do you pay attention to them?

Mike and I did not register at Target when we got married because of the horror stories we heard about their policies. Like, couples have a restricted amount of returns they can make on a registry. After a certain number, you're stuck with the items. Are you kidding me??

Well, that advice was compounded this week when my parents tried to return dished they'd purchased for their new house. Mom found ones she loved more, but by the time she found them and returned to Target, it had been 102 days. Yes, they have a 90 day return policy.

So, what are their options?

  • They cannot return the dishes with a receipt.

  • So pretend they don't have a receipt... Trying to return items without a receipt, every individual is only allowed to return TWO items per year.

  • Okay, fine, they'll return two boxes of dishes per person.

  • Nope! Your two items per year are limited to $35 a piece. Of course the dishes cost more than $35 for a set of 4!

So, customer service, management, even corporate customer service said "Sorry, you're stuck with the dishes you don't want........ even though they are brand new. And even though they are still on our shelves selling at full price." Yep, Target is like THAT.

So beware!

And if you or anyone you know likes these dishes, my mom would love to sell them... probably at a discount... because otherwise she'll be keeping them instead of the ones she really wants.

Addie Meets the Macks

This past weekend we had the joy of getting to meet Stacy & Dustin's precious little Adeline Grace. She was only four days old. Daddy and mommy were still trying to figure out life with a baby. But it was so wonderful to watch them with her. What an incredible day!

Dustin being the sweet daddy he is.

Addie's baby toes! Is there anything cuter?

Addie loved taking a walk. She slept the whole time and then was wide awake and happy in her car seat. So, we had a photo shoot!

Couldn't get enough of her!

Mike loved her, too.

The Groves!

The best of friends and new additions....
