Decorating at the Mack's!
We've been working hard and having fun, and our house is now officially and wonderfully decorated for Christmas!! The tree is up, ornaments placed, stockings hung, garland draped, ribbons tied and lights icicled. Mike was a laborer outdoors making sure the lights were perfect, and now they are! The wonderful windstorm ruined my bows outside, but that's fixable.
Now we enjoy the soft glow in our living room each evening. It's so peaceful and a beautiful accent to our new home.

Mike, in his suit, slaving away over the icicle lights in between our busy schedules.

Happy December!
So it's five days into December already! Where did 2006 go? To waiting, planning, marrying and honeymooning is where it went! It's been a wonderful year, and we're so excited for the next one.
Mike and I are so excited about everything that 2007 holds. We're celebrating our first married Christmas this month--and of course spending it traveling to see all of the families. It should be wonderful, and we'll cherish these quiet times because in a few years we'll be playing Santa. :)
We've started attending a married couples' small group at church led by the senior minister at The Creek. It's SO wonderful to establish this foundation of friendships, accountability and community near our home. We're hopeful to venture on a missions trip in the next year or two with The Creek, too, which thrills us! I have begun working in the two-year olds' class at church every other Sunday and absolutely loving it. We have even made a few friends through parents of my kids. Mike has started a sports ministry at church and is hopeful to kick it off in 2007. He's an incredible leader and is going to have a fantastic outreach ministry going for every variety of adult there.
Mike has earned a diversification trip through Edward Jones already for the first half of 2007. However, due to my work situation and the long vacation we just used, we "banked" the trip to use in the fall. If he earns one this period we could be going on a "SuperTrip," which includes option like a 10-day African Safari! We will of course be anxious to see how everything falls into place and to plan our trip.
We'll continue to make our house, OUR HOUSE this next year. The bedrooms are our next projects. We really enjoy the projects that they are and combining our preferences to create comfortable and wonderful living spaces.
I hope to have good news in the work world for 2007, but we are leaving that up to God.
Other than that, we look forward to making time for friends who we haven't been able to see because of our busyness this year. Maybe a few road trips? Additionally, we will be making at least 6 road trips to weddings next summer. SIX WEDDINGS are already on our calendars! It's contagious, so beware. :) It's a wonderful contagious, and we'll look forward to sharing in everyone else's joys.
So, that's it for the Macks right now. Happy December! Merry Christmas! Be sure to remember, through the cookie baking, card sending and holiday parties that we're celebrating Jesus through this all. He has blessed us with so much, and we are thankful every day for Him being in our lives!
With love.....

Thanksgiving!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! We traveled with my parents and sisters to Saint Louis to celebrate the holiday at my uncle's new home with 35 other Campbell relatives. It was a wonderful four days of relaxing, eating, shopping and hanging out with the family.
Uncle Brett's new house-
We also got the chance to go to Grant's Farm, the Anhueser Busch park where the actual Clydesdales are housed. They had the park set up with Christmas lights throughout, and we rode a train to the back of the park where food, live shows and Santa were!
So, it was a wonderful weekend--- we spent yesterday putting up the Campbell family's Christmas tree and then our very own Christmas tree!!! Today was decoration shopping & the beginning of our outdoor decorating. Once it's done you'll be sure to get great shots of it!

Our first blog!
So this is our first official blog.... Seems like all the cool kids are doing it, so we're jumping on the bandwagon! I thought it'd be a fun way to keep everyone updated on our life and to show you all of our fun pictures. (I'm a picture taking fool, and Mike's becoming one too)
We're officially the Macks, officially homeowners, and loving married life. Come visit us-- we have lots of beds for you and great new couches just waiting for some game-ready friends. (And Mike's favorite part, the new Plasma & entertainment system will be arriving tomorrow!!)
Anyway, I will keep this short and sweet for today. Keep checking in on us, and let us know what's happening with you!
