Groundhog Day / Twilight Zone

In nine days we will be en route to Queenstown, New Zealand. It's going to be an incredible adventure, and it's also going to be a crazy long flight! 19 hours. The same as our trip to South Africa, but we're headed to the opposite side of the world.

The wildest part about this fantastic voyage is that we will have NO March 9, 2008... EVER. We cross the dateline as we fly, backwards on the way there, which jumps us from March 8 to March 10. Then on the flight back, we will have TWO March 16, 2008. That's right. Groundhog Day, Bill Murray, Punxsatawney Phil, the whole gang.

It's just been on my mind lately and I thought I'd share. No March 9 for us. Two March 16. Bizarre!

Winner's Circle

Gorgeous view from our HUGE suite at the Marriott!

My event for work ended up a huge success! "Winner's Circle" we call it. 107 people ended up coming for four days to Marco Island while we wined and dined them, thanking them for their business. It was busy, it was fun, it was a success, and it is over!
Some quick shots of the trip:Handsome Fisherman!
My "team" on the last night surprised me with flowers, jewelry and a big thank you.
The Funk Brothers rocked the house on the last night!

New Baby Mack

We have a NEPHEW!! Conner Michael Mack was born Friday evening, weighing in over 9 pounds! He and Amber are healthy, doing well, and happy to be home. Hailey's not so sure she knows what sharing attention is, yet, but I imagine that will come soon!

ZORBING!!

The other part of our wonderful, fantastic, relaxing getaway to Gatlinburg was an afternoon of ZORBING! If you haven't heard of it, you must check out THIS. It was created in New Zealand and just brought to the US in October. The only place in the US you can Zorb is in Gatlinburg, and we did it! (Please note we did both the dry and wet ones!!)

Jennifer and Kevin convinced us to live on the edge and go check this place out. It was an absolute blast. We were freezing cold, soaking wet and screaming laughing by the end. I already want to go back!

I'll let the pictures and weblink speak for themselves..... SO fun!!!
