Showered with Love

Two weeks ago, my sweet, thoughtful girlfriends threw a shower for us at Katie's house. It was a wonderful day, filled with delicious food, great friends, lots of baby celebration, and girly things. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day!

The fabulous shower givers - Stacy, Amy, Heather and Katie, and Sonya joined in on the decorating.
My sister, Abby, with the diaper wreath(!) that Katie created. It's now on our front door until Anabelle arrives.

Mimi and me.

Heather's incredible strawberry-filled cupcakes with fancy five-name long strawberry meringue cupcakes. To. Die. For.

Generous gift corner.

Alpha Chis at the shower, minus Karla who'd already left! (Erin, Stacy, Amy, Heather & Andrea)

Proud and excited Mimi. I love this photo!

Oh BABY!

Mimi got Anabelle hot pink sunglasses with matching bows and headband.

Mimi also got her the sweetest swimsuit with ruffles and a matching ruffled cover up. We'll be using them often at her pool this summer!

Mimi, Auntie Abby, Mommy & Anabelle

Amber & me. She has been spoiling the heck out of Anabelle already-- sharing her style with my baby girl.

And then there's this cutie, Heather's daughter, who celebrated the day with us.

And Stacy's little one who is just precious and had just began crawling that week. So fun!

The shower and everything that came with the weekend was incredible. All the friends who came made me feel so special and be that much more excited about Anabelle!!

Start of week 37

Monday we started week 37. Here's me in all my giant glory!

I have shower pictures to post soon........ and in one week, we'll have our crib and dresser in the nursery! We are SO excited and are counting the seconds until then.

Only 24 days until her due date! Two friends due on or a few days before us have already had their babies, so we are anxious and just waiting to see how miss Anabelle will grace us with her presence!

Easter at the Campbell's

Anabelle's first Easter basket from Mimi & Papa. (My mom has had this basket and bunny since 1998, waiting on the first grandchild! She couldn't wait another year to give it to her)

Start of 36th week!

New Addition!

Not our baby, yet, but we got a new vehicle to better fit our baby and all her stuff!! It arrived two weeks ago, via semi truck at 6:45AM! I was too excited to wait all day to see it, so I ended up leaving an hour late for work so I could see our new GMC Envoy XL that came all the way from Jersey!

To start with, this is the first car we've purchased together! So I had to capture the purchasing moment. (Bought from a dealer on Ebay! We're sooo 21st century) The actual purchasing moment consisted of Mike putting his finger on mine and clicking "Commit to purchase" together.

Delivery morning!

Amy, Stacy & Addie were our first back seat riders. We brought along the DVD, Elf, on our drive so they could test out the DVD player in the backseat. Two thumbs up!

The mommy mobile is in the garage, and the carseat will be delivered this week. Now, we wait for our baby to fill it!

Surprises!

My favorite flowers, star gazer lilies, were waiting on the counter for me last weekend when I got home from work. My husband is sweet and thoughtful, but I don't often receive flowers. They're definitely blog-worthy! What a wonderful surprise!
And on Monday this week, I walked into work to find my cubicle to look like this:
My coworkers threw me a surprise baby shower! It was such a wonderful surprise! We had our monthly pitch-in lunch that day. After eating, they brought in a giant wrapped box that held the stroller and carseat system we wanted! Plus a huge gift bag filled to the top with smaller items off of our registry. I was so overwhelmed and appreciative of their kindness!!

Briefly

I got an e-mail from a friend asking how I was since the blog hadn't been updated in a week.

That's because we had another trip to the hospital for contractions this week. I spent the day at home in constant pain, and finally followed Mike's wisdom of calling the doctor. They sent me to the hospital, and it was the exact same thing happening like I experienced in February.

All is well. They stopped the contractions, monitored me for a few hours and sent me on my way. If this should happen again after next week, the doctor will go ahead and let me labor since I'll be at 36 weeks. Sweet Anabelle just wants to come meet us!

Here's my 35 week photo.

Sweet Friends!

A few weekends ago, Stace & Aim came into town for a mini-reunion. It was supposed to include husbands, too, but things come up and plans change. But we had a wonderful time catching up and getting some real time with eachother! It's so tough to manage that when we live hours apart and our lives get so busy.

As a surprise bonus to the weekend, we just happened to talk to Jenners and Mindy who were in town for the weekend and got to spend a few hours with them, too. Talk about an Alpha Chi reunion! Between the five of us, one has had a baby in the last year, two are pregnant and due within two weeks of eachother, and another is planning her wedding in August. SO much girly stuff to be excited about. And we crammed it into a few hours on Saturday!

Here are the five of us, plus Addie!
And here is Miss Addie with the bunny ears I couldn't resist getting for her (and a few other of my favorite little girls)

Nursery Update

After serious shopping for the perfect fabric and chandelier to tie the nursery together, we finally did it! I made the curtains a few weeks ago, and Mike installed the chandelier, PLUS a dimmer, last weekend. Thanks to Justin Harbert for his electric work skills to help us finish the wiring!
Here are the finished products!!
We're ready to get the rocker reupholstered and still anxiously waiting on the furniture to be finished. The nursery will probably be done about the time Anabelle arrives. It's a test of our patience, and that's perfectly okay. We can't wait to see it all done, especially with our baby girl in it!
